Nursery Activities
All age groups at Little Cherubs have a daily, weekly and monthly planning sheet following a set topic for the month. All planning is available for you to see, so you know what activities your child will be doing and what topics / celebrations are coming up.

Creative
Children will have the chance to use a variety of materials when painting and sticking, and have unlimited access to mark making equipment.
Physical
Children will have the chance to promote their fine and gross motor skills. They will be offered jigsaws, shape sorters, blocks, etc. They will also have plenty of opportunities to play in the garden and to use the ball pit, tunnels, and soft play.
Emotional & Social
We will help the children to begin to understand the importance of caring and sharing and we will encourage them to play alongside one another in harmony. The children have an abundance of time to socially interact with one another in a variety of way such as small groups, larger groups and one to one activities
Intellectual
The children are encouraged to learn and explore through free play and structured activities. Children in our care are given the chance to grow their ability to think and reason and make sense of the world they live in. We do this holistically through all the areas of learning and encouraging independence skills daily.
Music & Language
Making music and reading books form a big part of the nursery day. Staff ensure ample opportunities are provided to talk with the children and to join in with play. This then encourages speech and language development.The children enjoy a wide variety of activities which include circle time, musical instruments, and the ‘tap tap’ box to express themselves through music. Books are available in each group’s book corner; this is a popular one-to-one activity with the child’s key worker. We have a monthly music session in all groups from Hartbeeps music class, which is lots of fun!

Our Rooms
Our day care nursery has dedicated rooms for each age group, ranging from the Butterflies room (6 weeks to 17 months) all the way up to the Caterpillars room for kids aged 3 to 5 years. We also have a large outdoor area.
